About Supervision Services

Our Expertise

Hattie Carroll-Ratliff's current degrees and certificates are MEd. Master in Education of Psychological Studies, Ed.S. Education Specialist in Counseling Services, Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Her counseling experience and areas of supervision are mental health counseling, counseling for people with developmental disabilities, and counseling for child, adolescent, & adult populations. She received training in supervision at Rider University and holds a certificate as an approved clinical supervisor (ACS).

Individual and Group Supervision

Hourly individual supervision and group supervision is offered to those seeking a license. You will first meet with the supervisor to determine if it's a good match and will meet your needs for completing your hours. A supervision contract is provided at the start of sessions.

Our Supervision Model

The model of supervision used is eclectic but focuses heavily on the developmental model and behavioral models of supervision. The assumptions in the developmental model I use are that the supervisee moves towards competence is a series of stages. Each supervisee requires supervision strategies that fit the stage they are currently in and are individual to that supervisee. The supervisee enters the supervision process at varying levels of competence and the Supervisor’s role will vary depending on the stage the supervisee is in. The supervisor’s role is as a teacher, counselor, evaluator, and consultant.
